Reuters: Motorola has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Apple in a Florida federal court. Motorola, which is in the process of being acquired by Google, claims that Apple’s products violate six of its patents on wireless antennae, software, data filtering and messaging.

Apple and Motorola have been engaged in a patent war for some time. Recently, the International Trade Commission ruled that Motorola did not infringe on Apple patents, and a German court issued a preliminary injunction in Motorola’s favor that could ban sales of the iPhone and iPad in that country.
