Reuters: Google-owned Motorola Mobility has announced the Razr i, its first smartphone to feature a processor made by Intel. The new device will go on sale in Argentina, Brazil, Britain, France, Germany and Mexico in October. It’s very similar to the Razr M, which is sold in the U.S. and features an ARM processor. “This chipset gives us exactly what we want to launch in these markets,” said Motorola’s Andrew Morley. “It gives us the ability to create a compact device, it gives us speed and it’s a mid to high tier, mass market device.”

Because the two Razr smartphones are so similar, the new device will also offer a chance to see how the two different chips compare head-to-head.
