Dell: ‘We’re Not Really a PC Company Anymore’

InformationWeek: At an event in San Francisco, Dell CEO Michael Dell announced, “We’ve transformed our business. We’re not really a PC company anymore. We’re an end-to-end IT solutions company.”

Recently, Dell has been focusing increasingly on enterprise data center products, like appliances, high-end servers, storage arrays and virtualization products. In fiscal 2012, Dell earned $18.6 billion in revenue from its IT Systems division, twice as much as that group earned three years ago.
