PCMag: Dell has purchased California-based software maker Wyse Technology for an undisclosed sum. Wyse offers thin and zero-client solutions, as well as desktop virtualization and cloud computing software. “Desktop virtualization can help organizations streamline IT management, improve productivity and security, and increase cost efficiency for discrete workloads or usage scenarios,” said Dell’s Jeff Clarke. “Wyse’s technology will help Dell offer customers computing choices from the edge to the core to the cloud.”

According to IDC, the market for thin client and desktop virtualization solutions could top $15 billion by 2015.
