Lenovo Cracks $800 Price Barrier With New IdeaPad Ultrabooks

PCWorld: While most ultrabook models costs $800 to $1000 or more, Lenovo has launched a new line of ultrabooks that start for just $749. The base model, the IdeaPad U310, features a 13-inch screen and seven hours of battery life, while weighing just 1.7 kilograms and measuring 18 mm thick. The IdeaPad U410, which starts at $799, features a 14-inch screen and nine hours of battery life, weighing just 1.8 kilograms and measuring 21 mm thick.

Intel has promised that manufacturers will be offering ultrabooks for less than $700 before the end of the year.
