ZDNet: Recently instated Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has made another move sure to boost employee morale: she’s giving each of the company’s 12,000 employees a brand new smartphone. “Ideally, we’d like our employees to have devices similar to our users, so we can think and work as the majority of our users do,” Mayer explained.

Yahoos can choose from a variety of phones, including the Apple iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S3, the HTC One X, the HTC EVO 4G LTE and the Nokia Lumia 920, but interesting, they can’t choose a BlackBerry. “Yahoo is moving off of Blackberries [sic] as our corporate phones and on to smartphones in 22 countries,” says the memo containing the announcement. That’s more bad news for struggling BlackBerry maker RIM.
