VMware Bringing its Virtual Desktops to Mac, Linux

ZDNet: VMware has announced that its VMware View desktop virtualization client now supports Linux and OS X, as well as Windows. According to the company, desktop virtualization can help large organizations centralize management of their desktop systems, for lower overall costs and better security. The offering has particular benefits for educational institutions.

VMware View also has new support for the Amazon Kindle Fire, as well as support for other Android tablets and the iPad.
