Tim Cook Is Apple’s First CEO to Visit China

PCMag: Apple CEO Tim Cook is currently in China meeting with government representatives, making him the first Apple CEO to visit the country in an official capacity. On Monday, Cook “had great meetings with Chinese officials,” said Apple’s China-based spokesperson Carolyn Wu. “China is very important to us and we look forward to even greater investment and growth here.”

The iPhone, in particular, has become very popular in China, earning Apple $13 billion. Apple is also currently involved in a lawsuit regarding the use of the name “iPad” in China, and it continues to battle controversy surrounding working conditions at the factories of its Chinese suppliers.
