Setback for Apple in German Patent Case

Reuters: Apple has lost two key patent lawsuits in Germany. A court in Mannheim ruled that neither Samsung Electronics or Google-owned Motorola Mobility had infringed on an Apple patent related to touchscreens and multi-touch technology.

Experts had warned that a verdict in Apple’s favor could have wide-ranging implications for the entire mobile industry.
