Reuters: Despite all the rumors of a deal in the works, Samsung says it has no intentions of buying RIM or licensing the BlackBerry 10 operating system. That’s bad news for RIM, whose share price had climbed 5 percent after the rumors surfaced. “RIM has already lost its initiative in the smartphone market and what is left doesn’t look really attractive to the likes of Samsung,” observed analyst Lee Sei-cheol from Meritz Securities.

Samsung is the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, and it also sells the most Android phones of any mobile device maker.
