Motorola Mobility Ordered to Recall Android Tablets and Smartphones in Germany

The Guardian: A court in Munich, Germany, has banned further sales of Motorola Mobility tablets and smartphones in the country and authorized a recall of products currently in the sales channel. The decision comes in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Apple concerning its “rubber band” scrolling technology. Also known as “overscroll bounce,” the rubber band feature allows users to move through documents and bounce back to the center when they lift their fingers.

Before the recall can take effect, Apple must post a €25 million bond. Google-owned Motorola Mobility can also appeal.
