Microsoft, Adobe Plan Critical Patch Tuesday Security Updates

eWeek: Both Microsoft and Adobe are planning security updates for August 14. Adobe will release upgrades for Adobe Reader and Acrobat X, but provided few details about what is in the updates.

Microsoft will issue nine security bulletins, including five that are considered “critical.” The critical updates address vulnerabilities in Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, Server Software and some Microsoft development tools. The others concern bugs in Windows and Office.
