TechWorld: Interpol said that a major investigation of the group Anonymous resulted in the arrest of 25 suspected hackers and the seizure of 250 items. Authorities searched 40 different locations in 15 cities throughout Argentina, Chile, Columbia and Spain. The crackdown resulted from an investigation called “Operation Unmask” that examined cyberattacks on government and utility websites in Chile.

This was one of the largest sweeps of hackers associated with Anonymous to date. A Twitter account associated with the group suggested that the group would conduct DDoS attacks against Interpol’s website in response.
