Google+ Gets Massive Overhaul

USAToday: Google has begun rolling out some major changes to Google+, which the company says will make the social network “more functional and flexible.” Noteworthy changes include tweaks to the left-side navigation menu, conversation “cards,” a dedicated hub for Hangouts and an Explore page for finding trends.

Approximately 170 million people have Google+ accounts–far fewer than the 845 million with Facebook accounts. However, Google+ visits climbed 27 percent in March.
