CNNMoney: The Apple iPhone will officially enter the growing pre-paid cell phone market on June 22. That’s when Cricket, part of Leap Wireless, will begin selling the smartphone without pre-paid contracts. Customers will have to pay full price for the devices–$400 to $500. However, they’ll save big on monthly charges, with unlimited talk and text for just $55 per month, with “unlimited” data also available. Cricket estimates that most users will save around $1,000 over two years.

However, Cricket’s network is not as extensive as many other carriers’ and covers only 60 million Americans.
