Reuters: Facebook’s big day has arrived: shares in the social networking giant began public trading on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange Friday at 11 am ET. The initial offering was priced at $38, but most observers expect the price to climb significantly throughout the day.

Facebook celebrated the event by holding an all-night hackathon for employees. In addition, CEO Mark Zuckerberg rang the opening bell for the Nasdaq from Facebook headquarters in Silicon Valley.
