Facebook Releases Emails From Zuckerberg’s Harvard Days

Wall Street Journal: As part of a motion asking the court to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Paul Ceglia, Facebook has released the text of emails between CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Ceglia, which were sent while Zuckerberg was a student at Harvard. Ceglia claims that he owns a 50 percent stake in Facebook based on a contract with Zuckerberg, and he offered a series of email messages as proof. Facebook argued that those emails were fraudulent, and in fact, Ceglia’s emails were not found in a search of Harvard’s mail servers.

In one message released by Facebook, Zuckerberg says he will no longer work on Ceglia’s project because “there are many other things I’d like to, and have started to, work on. I am at a school surrounded by some of the smartest people in the world, cultivating ideas and constantly coming up with great projects to work on. … My time is valuable, and seems better spent on other things that I know, or at least can reasonably expect, will produce some sort of gratification in the near future.”
