Financial Times: France’s National Commission for Computing and Civil Liberties (CNIL) wants more information about Google’s recent changes to its privacy policies. In a letter to Google CEO Larry Page, the agency wrote that it “deeply regrets that Google did not delay the application of the new policy.” In cooperation with other EU agencies, the CNIL has prepared a list of 69 questions which it expects Google to answer by April 5.

Google responded with a statement, saying, “We have received the letter from the CNIL, and we will respond in due course. We are confident that our new simple, clear and transparent privacy policy respects all European data protection laws and principles.”
