Cisco: Nearly Half of IT Managers Still Against BYOD Trend

ZDNet: A Cisco survey of 1,500 IT managers and executives in six different countries finds that many oppose bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies. In fact, 48 percent of the companies surveyed said they would never allow employees to use their personal tablets and smartphones for work. The most common reason cited for opposition to BYOD was the problem of lost and stolen devices, and 44 percent of those opposed said that managing BYOD programs would divert IT resources from more important projects.

However, 57 percent of those surveyed admitted that some employees use their personal devices for work without company permission.
