China Extends Probe of Google’s Acquisition of Motorola Mobility

Bloomberg BusinessWeek: China’s Anti-Monopoly Bureau has expanded the second phase of its investigation into Google’s acquisition of Motorola Mobility. Chinese approval of the deal is the last hurdle Google faces before it can complete its $12.5 billion acquisition of the smartphone manufacturer.

Government regulators in the U.S., the E.U. and other parts of the world have already signed off on the deal.
