Wall Street Journal: Italy’s Antitrust Authority has slapped Apple with fines of €900,000 ($1.2 million) for misleading consumers. Specifically, Apple received a fine of €400,000 for not giving customers adequate information about the length of product guarantees and a €500,000 fine for not providing complete information about the AppleCare Protection Plan. The company was cited for failing to tell customers that the paid program overlapped some free protection that was required by law.

Apple currently faces at least two other antitrust investigations in the EU.
