In a sign of the times, enterprise software giant SAP further embraces social networking and cloud-based collaboration in its StreamWork application. Vangie Beal reports.

SAP (NYSE: SAP) is going social. The company has announced it is extending enterprise social networking and collaboration by integrating its cloud-based SAP StreamWork Application with all SAP business software, making StreamWork the “social hub” for all things SAP.

The StreamWork Application enables sales teams to collaborate directly with their customers to help ensure that products and services are delivered when expected and to help address the defined requirements, the ERPsoftware vendor said.

The company has already integrated SAP into SAP’s Product Lifecycle Management (SAP PLM) application. Now, SAP is offering new integration with SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), to provide social CRMand collaboration to sales teams.
