Oracle and NVIDIA Partnering on AI

LAS VEGAS — Oracle and NVIDIA have extended their alliance with a multi-year partnership to use computing and artificial intelligence to help solve customer and business challenges.

The collaboration will aim to bring NVIDIA to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), according to Oracle month.

Thousands of NVIDIA GPUs will be added to OCI, including the A100 and H100. OCI’s AI cloud infrastructure of bare metal, networking, and storage will be combined to create an accessible portfolio for AI training and deep learning at scale.

NVIDIA and Oracle have been partners for years with computing instances and software available by OCI. The extended partnership aims to speed up AI-powered innovation for multiple industries to give the best services for customers and support sales.

NVIDIA AI Enterprise, a software of the NVIDIA AI platform, includes processing engines for AI workflow. NVIDIA AI allows companies to create models to automate business processes and get business insights quicker with conversational AI, recommender systems, and computer vision. 

OCI and NVIDIA plan the release of NVIDIA AI Enterprise on OCI, to provide customers and partners with access to NVIDIA’s platform for AI development and deployment. Oracle is offering access to NVIDIA RAPIDS for Apache Spark data processing for their customers. 

NVIDIA Clara is a health care AI and HPC application to help with medical imaging, genomics, natural language processing, and drug discovery. 

Oracle and NVIDIA are collaborating on new AI-accelerated Oracle Cerner offerings for the health care industry, which can improve span analytics, clinical solutions, operations, and patient management systems.

“AI strategies” in Oracle and NVIDIA

Safra Catz, CEO of Oracle, and Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, aim to create a positive new AI tool to “drive long-term success in today’s business environment.” Catz continued, “organizations need answers and insight faster than ever.” 

“Our expanded alliance with NVIDIA will deliver the best of both companies’ expertise to help customers across industries – from health care and manufacturing to telecommunications and financial services – overcome the multitude of challenges they face.”

Huang adds, “Accelerated computing and AI are key to tackling rising costs in every aspect of operating businesses. 

“Enterprises are increasingly turning to cloud-first AI strategies that enable fast development and scalable deployment. Our partnership with Oracle will put NVIDIA AI within easy reach for thousands of companies.”    

Recent Oracle deals and partnerships

  • Oracle recently partnered with Subaru to help move their workloads to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Oracle also partners with Exelon Corporation, moving their cloud-first vision forward with OCI. 
  • Anaconda, a provider of the world’s most popular data science platform, collaborates with OCI to improve the current processes.
  • Oracle and Teléfonos de México (TELMEX) have announced a partnership to offer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services across Mexico.

The AI growing market

The global AI market size was at approximately $87.04 billion in 2021 and it is estimated to hit $1.6 trillion by 2030 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 38.1% from 2022 to 2030, according to Precedence Research.

The research done by tech giants in the development of AI is continuously improving AI software in various industries. The demand for AI technology is expected to drive the growth of the global AI market. 

AI aims to produce medical devices and self-driving cars. This technology is significantly increasing the growth of the AI market. Oracle and NVIDIA are increasing their investments in the upgrading and development of various applications of AI.
