PCMag: Judge Richard Posner has dismissed the Apple v. Motorola patent lawsuit with prejudice, which means that neither side can re-file the case in the same court. Earlier, the judge had temporarily dismissed the case, then changed his mind allowing some testimony. However, the judge later determined that neither side could prove that it was entitled to damages, and he threw out the case.

Apple and Motorola still have patent lawsuits pending in numerous other courts and before the International Trade Commission. It is also highly likely that they will appeal Judge Posner’s decision.
