PCWorld: According to the latest statistics from StatCounter, more people worldwide now use Google Chrome than use Microsoft Internet Explorer. Over the the weekend, Chrome captured 32.76 percent of the market while IE dropped to 31.94 percent. Mozilla’s Firefox came in third with just over 25 percent of the market. That’s a big change from a year ago, when Chrome was in third place behind IE and Firefox.

While the StatCounter rankings are significant, it’s worthwhile to note that other researchers who use different methodologies rank the three top browsers very differently.
