Twitter Breach Exposes 55,000 Accounts, Mostly Spambots

PCMag: Tuesday night, hackers posted usernames and passwords for 55,000 Twitter accounts to Pastebin. Twitter downplayed the security breach, saying that 20,000 of the accounts listed were duplicate accounts and many of the others appeared to be spambots whose accounts had been suspended. Twitter sent password reset e-mails to all of the valid accounts listed in the posting.

Twitter says it is investigating the attack.
