PCMagazine: For the first time ever, Pope Benedict XVI sent a message out to his Twitter followers today. It read, “Dear Friends, I just launched News.va Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI.”

Although the pope did send the message himself from his iPad, he didn’t actually write the Tweet. “The pope sent it, but it was prepared for him,” acknowledged Rev. Federico Lombardi. “The tablet was presented to him. He did the click and sent the tweet.”
