Computerworld: Oracle has issued an emergency security patch for some of its Apache Web servers. The fix addresses a vulnerability which could allow attackers to conduct a complete denial of service attack. Enterprises will need to apply the patch if they use impacted versions of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, Oracle Application Server 10g and Oracle Application Server 10g.
Oracle felt the patch was urgent enough that it released it ahead of its next regularly scheduled patch release date–October 18.
