Number of Cellphones Exceeds U.S. Population: CTIA Trade Group

Washington Post: According to a new report from the CTIA, the U.S. is now home to 327.6 million mobile devices. That’s a 9 percent increase in the first half of the year, and it exceeds the 315 million people who live in the country.

The report also found that the average U.S. residence contains 2.6 inhabitants and 24 gadgets, including at least one smartphone.
