The Register: The largest defense contractor in Japan, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, has confirmed that it was the target of a large cyberattack. The company, which makes submarines and parts for missiles, said that 45 network servers and 38 PCs at 10 of its locations had become infected with malware.
“We’ve found out that some system information such as IP addresses has been leaked and that’s creepy enough,” said a company spokesperson. “We can’t rule out small possibilities of further information leakage, but so far crucial data about our products or technologies has been kept safe.”
