NewsFactor Network: Shortly after it announced that it would no longer be selling its TouchPad tablet, HP put the doomed devices on sale for $99. In response, consumers snatched up the tablets so quickly that most retail outlets soon sold out of them. In a blog post, HP’s Mark Budgell wrote, “the good news is that we will have more available shortly.”
In addition to releasing more TouchPads from its inventory, HP it is “fully committed to providing support and service” to everyone who bought one of the mobile devices.
