DigiTimes: Unnamed sources say that Taiwanese suppliers are ramping up to produce ultrabooks for HP and Dell. Quanta Computer will begin producing ultrabooks for HP before the end of the year, and Wistron will design a Dell tablet that will debut at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Championed by Intel, ultrabooks are thin, lightweight notebook PCs with long battery life and instant-on capabilities. They are expected to compete with tablet PCs.
