CBS: In April 2010, Google purchased ITA flight search software. Now the company has finally put that technology to work with a new Flights search engine. If you search for a flight in the main Google search page, you will get a new Flights option on the left side of the screen. Clicking brings up an interactive map and calendar.

You won’t be able to purchase tickets through Google–you’ll still need to go to the airline or a travel agent website for that. However, you will be able to see flight information and prices.
