Wall Street Journal: Credit card payment processing company Global Payments has admitted that hackers breached its networks, potentially exposing personal data for hundreds of thousands of credit card users. The company is still investigating the hack attack, but said it had “identified and self-reported unauthorized access into a portion of its processing system” and “determined that card data may have been accessed.”

The company informed Visa that the attack occurred between Jan. 21 and Feb. 25. Global Payments first discovered the problem in early March.
