Gartner’s Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2012

InfoWorld: At the Gartner Symposium IT/Expo, Gartner vice president David Cearley told attendees that enterprise IT is at a critical juncture. In order to be successful over the next five years, he says that IT departments need to be preparing for the following technology trends now:

  2. Mobile-centric applications and interfaces
  3. Social and contextual user experience
  4. Application stores and marketplace
  5. The Internet of everything
  6. Next-generation analytics
  7. Big data
  8. In-memory computing
  9. Extreme low-energy servers
  10. Cloud computing
