Bloomberg BusinessWeek: Researchers from IHS are reporting that iPad shipments totaled 17 million in the second quarter, a 44 percent increase. As a result, Apple enjoyed a 69.6 percent share of the tablet market, its highest since the first quarter of 2011, when it owned 70 percent of the market.

Market share decreased for both Amazon and Samsung during the quarter.
