Amazon Web Services Launches Amazon GovCloud

PCMagazine: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a new cloud computing service for U.S. government agencies. Known as “GovCloud,” the offering complies with the specific rules that affect government entities. Those regulations include the International Traffic in Arms Regulations which require that government data only be accessible from within the U.S.’s borders.

So far, more than 100 agencies, including NASA, are using GovCloud.
