Adobe: Tablet Web Traffic Growing 10 Times Faster Than Smartphone Traffic

eWeek: In its newly released Adobe Digital Index, Adobe Systems says that Web traffic from tablets has grown ten times as fast as traffic coming from smartphones. At that rate, tablet traffic will become larger than smartphone traffic by early 2013, and by 2014, tablet traffic will account for 10 percent of all Web traffic.

“As businesses rethink their digital experiences to include mobile strategies, tablets are emerging as the consumer device of choice,” said Adobe’s Brad Rencher. “Digital CMOs [chief marketing offers] are wise to take a mobile first approach to optimize their digital content and marketing initiatives with a focus on the tablet experience because the consumer demands it.”
