Windows Server 2012 to Ship in August

Computerworld: On the heels of its announcement about the Windows 8 release schedule, Microsoft has also announced the timetable for the release of Windows Server 2012. The company will ship the server update to manufacturers in August, and everyone else will get access beginning in September. Key features of Windows Server 2012 will include better control of files and processes, group management capabilities, an embedded version of the Hyper-V hypervisor, the new Resilient File System (ReFS) and the new Metro interface.

In conjunction with the announcement, Rackspace announced that it plans to offer Windows Server 2012 in the cloud beginning in October.
