Google Talk Goes Down for Most Users

The Next Web: This morning Google Talk experienced an outage that affected most users. It also impacted some Gmail and Google+ instant messaging tools. Google acknowledged the problem on its Apps Status Dashboard, noting, “We’re aware of a problem with Google Talk affecting a majority of users. The affected users are able to access Google Talk, but are seeing error messages and/or other unexpected behavior.”

Several hours after the problem began, Google appeared to have the problem partially resolved. It wrote, “Google Talk service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future.”
