TGDaily: After 21 years at Microsoft, Charlie Kindel, who held the title of Windows Phone Developer Ecosystem General Manager, is quitting to form his own company. In a blog post, he made it clear that his leaving was not related to concerns about the Windows Phone platform. “To the Windows Phone team: I may stop using some Microsoft products now that I’m out of here. But not Windows Phone. The BEST product Microsoft has ever built. Do not let up!” he wrote.

However, some observers say the loss of a visible leader could be a setback for the struggling smartphone platform.
