Oracle Launching Big Data, In-Memory Appliances

Computerworld: At the Oracle OpenWorld conference, the company unveiled two new appliances. The Big Data Appliance supports both Hadoop and the Oracle NoSQL database. The Oracle Exalytics Business Intelligence Machine provides an “optimized BI foundation with advanced visualizations” and offers in-memory computing capabilities.

The two new appliances were displayed alongside two existing systems that also combine hardware and software.
