ZDNet: At Microsoft’s Worldwide Partners Conference, Windows Phone president Andy Lees told the crowd that the company wouldn’t be putting Windows Phone 7 on any tablets. Instead, the company will put the forthcoming Windows 8 on tablet PCs. “We view a tablet as a PC,” Lees said.
He added, “Our strategy is that these new form factors are within a single ecosystem and not new ecosystems themselves. Windows has always spanned different PC form factors. And with Windows 8 we’re going to take this to a whole new level including tablets.”
