Fox News: Microsoft is rolling out a new version of its extremely popular Hotmail email service, and it includes several tools designed to help users clean up “gray” mail. “75 percent of email identified as spam by our customers actually turns out to be unwanted gray mail that they receive as a result of having signed up on a legitimate website,” explained Microsoft’s Dick Craddock. Hotmail now offers a cleanup option for this gray mail and a one-click unsubscribe service. Users can also now “pin” important messages at the top of their inboxes.
Approximately 350 million people currently use Hotmail.
