Computerworld: The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) is predicting that the growth of India’s IT services outsourcing industry will slow from an estimated 16.3 percent in the current fiscal year to between 11 and 14 percent next year. The group blamed the slower growth on problems with Europe’s economy.

Other data also points to a slowdown in the outsourcing industry. Researchers for the Everest Group report a 15 percent decline in outsourcing revenue during the fourth quarter of 2011. And analysts at Indian research firm Offshore Insights forecast that IT services and related exports will grow by only 8 to 9 percent this year.
