PCMag: Apple lost a battle in its international patent war with Samsung when a German regional court denied Apple’s request for a preliminary injunction banning the Galaxy Tab 10.1N tablet. Last year, a German court ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 was too much like Apple’s iPad and prohibited sales of the device in Germany. Samsung redesigned its tablet and launched the Galaxy Tab 10.1N. Last week, a Munich court ruled that the re-designed version was different enough from the iPad to be sold in Germany, and now a regional court has come to the same conclusion.

This is far from the end of the Apple-Samsung patent duel in Germany, however. Apple still has several different patent-related cases pending related to Samsung smartphones and tablets.
