eWeek: A new report from Cisco says that 95 percent of all enterprises surveyed are allowing employees to use their own devices for work. However, the impact of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies is mixed: 75 percent of those surveyed said BYOD is good for the company as a whole, but challenging for the IT department. The survey also found that 84 percent of enterprises offer some level of support for employee-owned devices. In addition, it found that 78 percent of white-collar workers in the U.S. use a mobile device for work.

“As the number of devices being brought into work increases, organizations need a comprehensive mobility strategy,” said Cisco’s Padmasree Warrior. “By leveraging the intelligent network, organizations can now provide their employees with the benefits of working anywhere, any time: in other words, ‘work your way.'”
