Cnet: The latest mobile operating system report from comScore shows that Android captured 41.8 percent of the U.S. smartphone market for the three months ending in July, gaining 5.4 percentage points over its April market share. Apple’s iOS increased its market share only slightly during the period, climbing from 26 percent in April to 27 percent in July.
BlackBerry came in third at 21.7, followed by Windows Phone (5.7 percent) and Symbian (1.9 percent).
