US Trade Commission Delays Decision on HTC

HTC's smartphones could face a U.S. ban beginning next week.

The Register: The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) was supposed to issue a ruling today on whether smartphone maker HTC had violated Apple patents, but instead the group postponed the decision until December 14. If the ITC decides in Apple's favor, it could ban the import and sale of HTC smartphones in the U.S.

In July, an ITC judge decided that HTC had violated Apple's patents. It's now up to the full commission to agree or disagree with that finding.

HTC sales and share prices have been falling recently.
