PodWorks, from Sci-Fi Hi-Fi, is an application that allows you to copy songs and videos from any iPod (going all the way back to the original 5GB model) or iPhone to any Mac running OS X 10.4 or higher. Since Apple only allows you to copy songs to an iPod or iPhone, this utility is useful for those who have two Macs and want to use their iPod to transfer music from one to the other, for example.

The latest version of PodWorks, version 2.9.3, adds a number of new features and improvements, of which you can learn more about – not to mention PodWorks itself – in general here. There you’ll also be able to download a free trial version of the software and buy it for $8. If you’re a current PodWorks user, the 2.9.3 upgrade won’t cost you a dime.
